How to Bulk Rename Images While Converting Them

A folder of IMG_4821.JPG, IMG_4822.JPG files is hard to work with. Rename the whole batch to something meaningful as you convert, in one step.

Why consistent names matter

Clean, sequential filenames make images easier to sort, find, and present — whether you're uploading a product gallery, sending a client a set, or archiving photos. Camera-generated names like DSC_0294 carry no meaning and sort unpredictably across devices.

Rename as part of conversion

The tool above has a Smart Batch Renamer. Type a prefix — say product — and every converted file comes out as product_1.jpg, product_2.jpg, product_3.jpg, automatically numbered in order.

It happens during conversion, so there's no second tool and no extra step — and because everything runs locally, your filenames and files never leave your device.

Pair it with a ZIP download

After renaming, hit Download All (.zip) to get the whole tidily-named set in one archive — ready to upload or hand off.
